“Stapling the term text to book is like like saying you are buying a cake for a wedding instead of a party,” I said, to which Professor W agreed as I walked out of the office that he and Dr. R shared. I have noticed countless times that textbooks that are about the same size or smaller than a novel are often a lot more expensive. Not to mention novels can often be found in libraries, whereas I have never found textbooks in local libraries. Textbooks are clearly overpriced. They are overpriced because textbook companies know that students have to buy them. When a new edition of a textbook is released, it becomes more evident just how swindled students were. As all of a sudden, the cost of the old edition decreases dramatically.
